Your profile and security
Your profile
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar to open your Profile. Here you can update your details and photo, and change your password.
Your profile details are used across Yapii. For example, Claire uses your name when she introduces herself as your assistant.
Changing your password
- Open your Profile.
- In Change password, enter your current password and a new one of at least 8 characters.
- Save.
Forgotten your password?
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot password.
- Enter your email. Yapii always says it has sent an email, even if the address isn't registered, so nobody can use the form to check who has an account.
- Click the link in the email and choose a new password.
Resetting your password signs you out on every other device and cancels any API keys you created.
Two-step verification
Two-step verification adds a 6-digit code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or 1Password) each time you sign in.
Owners and admins
Two-step verification is in Settings, under Security. Only owners and admins can open Settings at the moment.
When you turn it on, Yapii also gives you backup codes. Keep them somewhere safe: each one signs you in once if you lose your phone.
Your sessions
Settings, under Security, also lists where you're signed in. You can sign out of one device or all of them.
Signing in with Google, Microsoft or your company login
- If your Yapii account has them turned on, Google and Microsoft buttons appear on the sign-in page.
- On the Expansion plan, a workspace can use single sign-on (SSO) through its own identity provider. If SSO is required, you'll be sent to your company's login page instead of using a password. The owner can always sign in with a password.
Your data
Owners
In Settings, under Data & Privacy, the owner can:
- export all the workspace's data. You get an email with a download link that works for 24 hours, and you can run one export a day.
- delete the workspace. It's erased for good after 14 days, and until then the owner can restore it.
You can also delete your own account. If you're the only owner of a workspace, transfer ownership or delete that workspace first.
